To receive grace is to receive unearned, intangible gifts. It's a grandmother's unconditional love. Her kiss on your forehead, even though you've done nothing special and are certainly not perfect. Being loved just because you're you. A grandmother's grace makes you feel that everything will be alright, when you're having a less than decent day.
But when grandmothers have passed, life gets rough, and you find yourself caught in a whirlwind of circumstances and emotions, what better gift than the grace of a true friend? One who come to your side unbidden, offering pure, simple, understanding friendship. They sit without opinion, without judgement, without negativity and simply offer strength and hugs and remind you of who you are and how much you are loved. They offer you the gift of simple grace. A true friend is like a grandmother's kiss, reincarnate. And with quiet, gentle love, they help you to see that everything will be alright.
